And The Qui is one of those artists.
Through pictures of him I can see how he vibes with the subjects of his lens: he feels their joy, their awkwardness, their intense feelings, their unique beauty,..the essence of their being and captures the right moments to show that.

The Qui was a great photographer for capturing the special moment during our PROPOSAL!
There was a lot of logistics prior to the special day, and he had great communication despite the time difference from the United States.
He was also very helpful in directing us where to go for good angles.

It was really hot weather. I almost regretted the decision to take a photo because of the weather.
But looking at the photos now, every moment of my trip to Vietnam is remembered as a happy moment filming with Qui.
It's nice that the happy moments with Suzy, who kept laughing even as she was sweating, were captured forever through Qui's camera.

Sau hơn 5 tháng, em mới vượt lên mọi sự bận rộn để ngồi viết vài dòng về anh và ảnh của anh.
Thú thật, từ những ngày đầu đi làm nghề, em đang cần tìm một nhiếp ảnh gia vừa "giá tốt" vừa điên điên vừa chụp độc đáo một tí. Lân la tất cả các mối quan hệ em biết, thì tình cờ em thấy được fb cá nhân của anh.
Ngồi xem lùng sục một hồi rõ lâu, xem hết tất cả các album anh đăng, em dừng lại ở bức ảnh cô dâu nắm tay bà của mình và khóc trước khi lên xe hoa rời đi. em bất giác khóc như mưa khi xem bức ảnh đó, và em biết nếu có ngày em lên xe hoa thì em sẽ book anh chụp.
Hơn 3 năm sau, thì ngày đấy cũng tới thật. Tính không chụp pre, nhưng vì anh Q, em "phải" đi chụp thôi.
Vốn chỉ quen đứng sau ống kính chỉ này chỉ kia bắt các anh em photographer chụp này nọ, nay bị lôi lên trước ống kính, cũng khá là sượng trân 🙂 nhưng rồi mọi thứ đều xứng đáng, vợ chồng em được đi chơi, đi ăn, được chill trên sân thượng nhà mình, và có ảnh đẹp mang về. Cả hai đứa đều thoải mái, đều cảm thấy được yêu ngay trong chính những tấm hình của mình.
Cảm ơn anh vì điều đó!
Em luôn nói với mọi người rằng, anh Q sẽ chụp được những góc hình, những khoảnh khắc mà người khác không chụp được, những khoảnh khắc mà bản thân những người trong cuộc, những nhân vật chính không hề biết nhưng lại rất hạnh phúc nếu nó được lưu giữ lại.
Chính bản thân em đã bất ngờ về những bức ảnh em nhận được trong lễ cưới của mình.
Những gương mặt, những giọt nước mắt em luôn mong muốn được nhìn thấy và giữ lại cho riêng mình.

Qui gave me and my wife the best pictures we have ever taken about ourselves.
Our wedding was complete and the best moments were kept, thanks to Qui.
But that's not the reason for this testimonial.
I remember coming to Qui's house late evening. I remember standing in his newly built kitchen, smelling the half-gone fragrance of his quickly prepared dinner and seeing the life of Qui and his family through all pictures he posted on the wall.
The warmth I feel in each of his pictures, the comfort of being in his company is hard to describe. It is something that touches me to my personal level.
I know that each picture means a lot to him, as if it is for his own family.
Qui will not show you the poses you need to make for a good picture. He will not ask you to hurry up. He will not half-ass the post-production. And above all, he will not ask you to be something else other than yourself. He will be there to capture the moment you thought you have lost in time forever.
By the end of everything, I didn't think I hired a photographer,I think I made a new friend, and hopefully for life.
